We had a great time playing tee bball with Angela. She taught us how to pass and catch. We had fun playing games to practise the skills we learnt.

One lovely Spring day Room 4, Miss Rooney and Hayden went for a walk to the domain to see the spring flowers and the blossom. We had a great time "hugging trees". We also saw the very noisy birds at the aviary.

Rochelle from St Johns talked to us about first aid and the importance of only ringing 111 in a real emergency.

St Joseph's celebrated Multi-cultural day with children dressing in their national costume. Everyone looked great and we all enjoyed admiring the special cultural dress!

Room 8 helped us read cooperatively together! They were great role models and we really enjoyed working with them! Thank you Room 8!

Our whole school watched a special show reinforcing St Joseph's virtues and values!

Our school really enjoyed watching the "Mary Mac Killop" play. It was very interesting and the actors were funny!

Circle of Life

Here are some photos of our swan plants, eggs, caterpillars, chyrsallis and butterflies. This "Circle of Life" happened in our classroom and we were able to see the different stages! Lucy, Amelia and Molly were able to draw the most accurate life cycle!

Last week we had our swim week. It was a very tiring but enjoyable week. Here are some of us having a great time learning to swim.

We have been writing about butterflies by describing our butterflies we coloured in. Describing words are called "Adjectives". Adjectives make our writing more interesting to the reader.

Hello!
The Junior Syndicate's topic this term has been focusing on "Circle of Life". Room 4 has been doing "Caterpillar Art" where we painted our paper two different colours and then made our circle shapes from a cardboard template. We then cut these out ourselves and pasted them in the shape of a caterpillar! Here are some examples. Aren't they great?
